Intelligence for every vine
TRIMBOT combines computer vision and artificial intelligence to analyse the structure of each vine and determine the cutting points according to established pruning criteria.
In-house platform · Agricultural robotics · Automated pruning
TRIMBOT is our autonomous vineyard pruning robot, developed to transform one of the most demanding tasks in the wine sector.
Using artificial intelligence, computer vision and advanced robotics, it analyses the structure of each vine to carry out precision pruning.
A technological solution designed to boost productivity, sustainability and automation in the vineyard.

TRIMBOT combines computer vision and artificial intelligence to analyse the structure of each vine and determine the cutting points according to established pruning criteria.
Pruning has to be done within a limited window. Automation increases operating capacity and reduces dependence on skilled labour during one of the most important stages of the crop.
It integrates its own cameras and lighting to analyse the vines precisely, reducing dependence on ambient light and making work easier under different lighting conditions.
The system lets the process be supervised and pruning decisions be validated, combining artificial intelligence with the knowledge and experience of vineyard professionals.
TRIMBOT moves autonomously between the vineyard rows, using positioning systems and sensors to keep the references it needs during pruning operations.
Its electric drive eliminates direct exhaust emissions during operation and reduces dependence on fossil fuels, contributing to more sustainable viticulture.
Field-tested in a real vineyard with Familia Torres, validating how it performs in real working conditions and fine-tuning its pruning algorithm.
TRIMBOT is a pioneering robotic development applied to dry vineyard pruning, placing ASTIBOT at the forefront of wine-sector automation.
TRIMBOT comes from a research and development project aimed at automating a highly specialised task of great importance to the wine sector.
The development of TRIMBOT and ASTIBOT’s commitment to technology have received significant awards for innovation applied to the agri-food sector.
I+D
TRIMBOT comes from the R&D project “Vineyard pruning robot”, carried out by ASTIBOT in Castilla y León under the ICT for SMEs programme to automate vineyard pruning, a highly specialised and traditionally manual task.
Project funded by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
